Rada Sets Minimum Wage Not Less Than Minimum Subsistence Level From 2009



The Verkhovna Rada has enacted that size of minimum wages must not be less than minimum subsistence level for able-bodied persons, beginning from January 1, 2009.

Cabinet Cancels Rule That Requires Changes To Electricity Prices For Population To Be Agreed With Trade Unions



The Cabinet of Ministers has suspended until July 2009 the provision of its general agreement with the National Association of Employers and Entrepreneurs and national trade unions that stipulates that electricity prices for the population can be changed only by agreement with trade unions.
